Writings include: �The Andaman Tribes: Victims of Development� by Romulus Whitaker and Zai Whitaker in Cultural Survival Quarterly 10 (2), 1986: 13-18; and �The Andamanese: Origins and Cultural Traditions� by Zarine Cooper in the India Magazine for her people and culture, May 1992, pp. 30-41; and �India: isolated tribe faces annihilation� (February 1999) by Survival International. Newspaper clippings on Jarawas include the issues of food supply, hunger, disease, crimes, mortality, extinction, and contact expedition. The file also includes two WPs filed before the Port Blair Bench of the Calcutta High Court by: Kalpavriksh and Others drawing attention towards biodiversity loss in the Andamans Islands and the threats to the tribal ways of life; and Society for Andaman Nicobar Ecology (SANE) pleading to make the SANE one of the respondents in a WP regarding the Jarawas.
