Abstract | Some years ago, a heavy flood in the Devgad Tributary of the Bhagirathi caused a big landslide that altered the course of the Bhagirathi and caused serious damage to the Gangotri township. The picture shows the devastating landslide indicating the cataclysmic nature of devastation which is now a frequent occurrence which will have serious destabilising repercussions on the artificial dam proposed at Tehri. |
