Abstract	Damodar P. Singhal’s research materials and published articles on the cultural interaction between India and other civilizations. They include writings on Indian and European music, including an excerpt of, ‘Around Music’ a chapter in Oriental Atmosphere, chapter ‘Indian Music and Indian and Western Musical Criticism’ from Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji’s Mi Contra Fa: The Memorialization of a Machiavellian Musician (1947). Also includes two Yehudi Menuhin’s articles, ‘Indian and Western Music’ in Hemisphere (1962) and ‘From east and west’, published in The Times (1965), along with a response to his work (undated). The file also includes Damodar P. Singhal’s articles in the journal Manthan, such as ‘Battle For the Past’ (1978), ‘Give and Take Culture’ (1979), ‘India and the Early West’ (1979), ‘Sanskritic Aadaan-Pradaan’ (1979) and ‘India in Classical Greece’ (March 1981) + 1 duplicate. It also includes his article, ‘Cultural Interaction’, published in the Journal of Indian History and Damodar P. Singhal and D. Devahuti’s article, ‘Some Impressions of China’, published in China Report, Vol. XII No. 2 (April 1976).
