Abstract Handwritten field notes on the Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship cards contains: Observations on wild animals mainly from Kanha, Sariska and Bharatpur. Some from Corbett, Sundarbans. Kaziranga, Tadoba, Periyar, Palamau, etc. Some cards have research notes & extracts related to tigers and tiger hunting from Journal of Bombay Natural History Society, Oriental Sporting Magazine, old shikar books, research articles, etc.Other cards have observations on tigers from various zoos of India, main points of interviews and letters of various ex-hunters, such as Nawab of Tonk, Dhaibhaisingh, Tulsinath, Rungta, and naturalists like E.P. Gee. Besides, tiger census, tiger hunting, man-eating records by tiger, news reports, newspaper cuttings, etc.
