Abstract Materials related to public administration and the civil services. The file contains 'Parkinson's Law' and other articles by C. Northcote Parkinson relating to the bureaucracy, retirement and management published in The Economist. Also includes K. Santhanam's newspaper clippings from Hindustan Times, Swarajya Weekly, and Mail on the bureaucracy in democratic India, the Pay Commission, Government employee salaries and public sector strikes, the responsibilities of administrators in democratic India, the All-India Services, The Committee on Administrative Reforms headed by Morarji Desai and typed notes for the commission (17-71-1966). There are also writings on the Indian administration, including 'Central Government Servants' (Hindu 7-7-1960) and 'Follow Up Measures' enclosed in a letter from V.K. Narasimhan of The Indian Express (31-10-1968).
