| Abstract | The file contains papers relating to Mahatma Gandhi and his relevance in postcolonial India. Comprises of articles reprinted from the journals Gandhi Marg and Khadigramodyog, chapters from edited volumes, newspaper clippings, and unpublished articles. It includes a chronological table of Gandhi�s life; and writings on Gandhian principles as a moral guide for the nation; decentralization; communism and Gandhism; human rights; non-violence; and Gandhi and Vivekananda. There is also K. Santhanam�s article, �How I first Met Mahatma Gandhi� (1969), and his scheme for the Gandhian Service Centre in Guindy, Madras. Also contains Mahatma Gandhi�s note on satyagraha (extract taken from the Harijan, 1940); K. Santhanam�s article sent to Deccan Herald entitled �Relevance of Gandhiji to India Today� (1977), and his undated article �Dandi March�. |
