Photographs published by the Press Information Bureau, Government of India. They include: 1. Republic Day Parade – 1964: The President, Dr. S Radhakrishnan took the salute at the Republic Day Parade on Rajpath in New Delhi, on January 26, 1964. Witnessed by a huge multitude, the parade comprising a cavalcade of armed forces and tableaux, was followed, among others, by contingents of Delhi University students, Women’s and Men’s group of citizens, school children and some folk dancers. The photo shows a group of elephants leading the cultural pageant. 2. Ditcher working in the fields at the Central Mechanics farm, Suratgarh – To be published on or after August 1964. With the Article ‘Suratgarh farm – The Symbol of National and International Cooperation’. 3. In a Third-Class Air-Conditioned Coach – To go with the Independence Day feature article ‘Increasing Passenger Amenities on Railways’. 4.
